Counterpart of indenture of mortgage by Richard Wallwyn of Much Marcle, co. Hereford, gentleman to Thomas Landon, gentleman, one of the yeomen of the Kings Majesties buttery, in consideration of £120, of the messuage and ffarme called Chipps ffarme in Bartestree, co. Hereford, then in the occupation of Edward Rogers, by demise for a term of 500 years at a peppercorn rent, such term to be void in the event of the repayment of principal and interest in specified instalments at the dwelling house of Nicholas Phillpott, gentleman in the city of Hereford; it was also witnessed that one Deed Poll dated 12 November 1661, made by Margaret Wallwyn, widow, mother of Richard Wallwyn and purporting a declaration of the use of a fyne formerly leavyed of the said premises, should remain in the custody of Nicholas Phillpott until full performance of the condition.
