Description

Conveyance by Samuel Brookes of Wednesbury, co. Staff., baker, to John Brookes of Bilsley, 'batchelor' for £18 'for the use of the breeding up of Samuel Brookes and Thomas Brookes, sons of the said Samuel Brookes, to a trade', of two tenements, etc. in Stratford-upon-Avon, in the tenure of Joseph Page and John Russel, 'held for life by the said Samuel Brookes with reversion to his two sons; to hold the same for 13 years, upon paying half the rents to Samuel Brookes junior, from 24 March 1795, to the end of the term, if Samuel Brookes senior, be deceased and otherwise to hold a clear freehold estate for the life of the said Samuel Brookes senior'. Dated 15 January 24 George III [1784]. Witnesses: Joseph Hide and Leonard Court.
