Bargain and sale dated 8 July 12 Elizabeth [1570], by Lodowyk Grevyll of Mount Grevyll, esq., and Thomasyne his wife to Edmund Peers of Alveston, gent., for £576 9s 2d of `their capytall and cheif mancyon howse and scyte' of the manor of Alveston with the two water mills called Aulston Mills and messuages, cottages, lands, etc., in Alveston, Tyddington and Bysshoppshampton [Hampton Lucy], with covenants for a fine of the same, etc.
