Acquittance: Rhyn Clifford and Bridgetown
Description
Acquittance dated 3 February 10 Elizabeth [1568], from Lodowicke Grevill of Mylncote, esq., to William Clopton of Clopton esq., for £500 secured by a mortgage of the manors of Ryen Clifford and Bridgetowne. Signed, with seal of arms. Note that the sum was paid by the hands of Raphe Sheldon, son and heir of William Sheldon of Beoley, co. Worcs., esq., in the middle chancel of the Temple Church, near Fleet Street, London, between the times of 8 and 11 in the forenoon of 3 February 1568.
