Description

Release by Hugh Clopton of the Middle Temple, London, esq., to Sir John Clopton of Clopton, Knt., of a parcel of land of 15 acres in the late inclosed park at Clopton, taken out of Grove Leasow and the several parcels of land, of 7 acres, in the same park called Buttons, all heretofore in the tenure of Walter King and Simon Horne. Witnesses: Elizabeth Woolmer, Thomas Hunt, junior and John Woolmer. Endorsed: 'A grant of lands in ye park from my son Hugh Clopton to me, charged by my Will with £10 per ann. to my son William Clopton'.
