Description

Conveyance by Samuel Holtam of Stratford-upon-Avon, cooper, to William Hicks of Stratford-upon-Avon, maltster and Thomas Wootten of Stratford-upon-Avon, baker (reciting that a marriage had taken place between the said Samuel Holtam and Mary Hicks of Stratford-upon-Avon, spinster, sister of the said William Hicks and that a marriage portion had been paid by the said William Hicks and Thomas Wootten) of a tenement in Stratford-upon-Avon in Wood Street, now in the occupation of the said Samuel Holtam and another tenement adjoining in the occupation of William Loach, alias Richardson, turner, both which tenements were lately purchased of Edward Ingram and Sibilla Ingram, widow, to hold to the use of the said Samuel Holtam and Mary his wife. Witnesses: Charles Mills and John Round.
