Lease and Release: Honington
Description
Indentures of Lease and Release between Daniel Beckett of Dornford, co. Oxon., gent., of the one part, and William Neale late of Idlicote and then of Whatcote, yeoman, of the other part (reciting that by indentures dated 13 and 14 August 1742, Anne Neale, widow of William Neale late of Honington, yeoman, deceased, and William Neale the younger, mortgaged a close in Honington to Daniel Beckett for £200, and reciting that William Bennett of Somerton, co. Oxon., carpenter, had purchased other lands of William Neale for £215 and had paid the sum of £200 to Daniel Beckett), whereby it was witnessed that Daniel Beckett, in consideration of £200 to him paid by William Bennett, conveyed his mortgage interest in the premises mentioned above to William Neale free from such mortgage. Witnesses: Edmund Whitley and Richard Weston.
