Description

Indenture of Mortgage and Counterpart dated 16 March 1729/30 (Old style) [1730] between Sir Henry John Parker of Honington, Bart. of the one part, and Henry Beeston of Cogges, co. Oxon., esq. of the other part (reciting ER3/1993 and that Hugh Parker by his Will, dated 25 December 1712, in pursuance of a power given to him by the Marriage Settlement {ER3/1993}, appointed £8,000 to provide portions for his younger children, and reciting ER3/2001), whereby it was witnessed that Sir Henry John Parker, in consideration of a further sum of £700 to him paid by Henry Beeston, mortgaged to the said Henry Beeston certain lands adjoining Honington Bridge. Witnesses: Edward Mansell and William Somerscales.
