Description

Indenture of Mortgage between the Most Noble John Duke of Montagu of the first part, the Right Honourable John Lord Sommers, Baron of Evesham, Charles Lord Halifax, Edmund Dummer of Lincolns Inn, gent. and Thomas Dummer of the Middle Temple, London, gent. of the second part, and Thomas Pitt esq., one of the masters of the High Court of Chancery and Christopher Montague of the parish of Rowell, co. Glos., esq. of the third part, whereby John Duke of Montagu, in consideration of £4,000 to him paid by Thomas Pitt, and the persons of the second part, in consideration of five shillings to them paid by Thomas Pitt and Christopher Montagu, mortgaged the manor of Thurlaston and hereditaments therein to the said persons of the second part.
