Mortgage dated 27 April 1686, between William Morrell of Stratford-upon-Avon baker, to John Bartlett of Old Stratford, dyer, for £36 of a messuage in Old Stratford in the occupation of Richard Hopcroft and a close called Rack Close in the occupation of Robert Sowtherne. Witnesses: Dorothy Townsend, Richard Morrell and Thomas Woolmer. Endorsed: Deed Poll, 30 January 1687, under the hand and seal of John Bartlett, being a transfer of the above mortgage to Thomas Nason of Stratford-on-Avon, barber-chirugeon.
