Mortgage dated 4 August 1784, from German Whitmore of Stratford-upon-Avon, cordwainer, Elizabeth his wife and John Whitmore of Stratford-on-Avon, clerk, and Mary Whitmore of the same place, spinster, to Samuel Jarvis of Stratford-upon-Avon, gent., to secure £50, of a messuage in Ely Street, otherwise Swine Street, then in the tenure of the said German Whitmore. Signed: German Whitmore, Elizabeth Whitmore, John Whitmore, Mary Whitmore. Witnesses: Thomas Gesswell and Mary Wilson. Endorsed with Memorandum of receipt by Samuel Jarvis, 17 February 1790, of the sum of £50. Enclosed: Bond by GermanWhitmore, John Whitmore, Mrs. Elizabeth Whitmore and Miss Mary Whitmore to Samuel Jarvis for performance of the covenants.
