Conveyance dated 20 March 1682/3 (Old style) [1683], from Thomas Holbeche of Fillongley, gent., to Joseph Essex of Fillongley, clerk, for £11 of a croft or parcel of land in Wood End in Fillongley adjoining the land of Anne Breasley, widow, the land of Barnard Powlett esq. in the occupation of William Billington, and the common lane called Wheatacre Lane, theretofore called Dead Queen Hill and now Smarts Croft, theretofore in the occupation of Symon Smart, late of Thomas Holbeche and Thomas Forde and now of Samuel Hall. Witnesses: William Hall, Joseph Shaw and Samuel Hall.
