Description

Settlement on the Marriage of William Howkins the younger, son of William Howkins the elder of Brownsover, gent., to Martha Capell, daughter of Hugh Capell of Coventry, mercer, being a Conveyance by Lease and Release from Hugh Capell to William Howkins the elder and Richard Bull of Maxstock Priory, gent., of the third part of three yard land in Brailes then in the occupation of Richard Hunt, together with all commons thereto belonging, in trust, during the lives of Hugh Capell and Susannah his wife or the longest liver of them, to pay a rent-charge of £5 per annum to William Howkins and Martha, his intended wife, and, after the death of Hugh Capell and Susannah, to the use of William Howkins the younger and the said Martha for their lives, with remainder to their heirs, with proviso giving power to the said Hugh Capell to redeem the said rent charge within three years.
