Description
Conveyance by Lease and Release, from John Hodges of Sulgrave, co. Northants., gent., to Robert Onely of Newton in the parish of Clifton-on-Dunsmore, gent., and Robert Frances of Newbold-on-Avon, yeoman (reciting an indenture dated 29 January 1683/4 (Old style) [1684], being a settlement upon Mary Hodges, widow of Moses Hodges, deceased, for her life, with remainder over to John Hodges and Mary Parsons, wife of the said John Hodges, and the heirs of their bodies, with provisions for raising portions for the younger children of the said John and Mary, of a close of pasture lately part of Greene Park, and two meadows called Over Meadow and Middle Meadow, situate in Blakesley, co. Northants., containing eighty-two acres then in the occupation of Mathew Clarke, subject to a proviso making the estate granted void if certain conditions were fulfilled. Witnesses: John Morgan and John Ash.
