Covenant to Levy a Fine: Northend and Knightcote

Description

Covenant between Peter Proffit of Northend, yeoman, and Elizabeth his wife and Henry Collins of Ladbrooke, yeoman, and John Chetle of Northend, husbandman, that Peter Proffit and Elizabeth his wife should before the end of Michaelmas Term then next levy a Fine to Henry Collins and John Chetle of the messuage in Northend wherein Peter Proffit then dwelt, closes called Homeclose and Elme Close in Northend and one yard land in the common fields of Northend and Knightcote, then in the tenure of Peter Proffit and John Chetle, such fine to enure, as to Elme Close, to the use of John Chetle and his heirs; and, as to one half moiety of the residue of the premises, to the use of Peter Proffit and Elizabeth his wife and the heirs of the said Peter Proffit, and as to the other half moiety of the premises to the use of the said Peter Proffit and his heirs for ever.
