Mortgage: Greenhill Street, Stratford-upon-Avon

Description

Mortgage dated 26 December 1705, by Obidedum Taylor of Stratford-upon-Avon, labourer, to John Huckell of the same, tallow-chandler, of a cottage in Stratford in Greenhill Street, now or late in the tenure of Samuel Phillips, for 1000 years, to secure the repayment of £20, with interest, by 26 December 1706. Witnesses: William Challoner and Richard Wall. With acquittance for £20 endorsed; and memorandum by John Huckell dated 21 July 1711 that £5 interest for 5 years has been paid.
