Lease: Burmington

Description

Lease from Sir George Philips of Weston House, baronet, to James Allen of Burmington, farmer, of a messuage and lands in Burmington. To hold for eight years for the annual rent of £350 unless the common lands were enclosed by Act of Parliament, whereupon the said term to cease. Lessee also to pay £50 for every acre converted to tillage without permission. Clauses reserving timber and hunting rights etc.. Clauses concerning cultivation and maintenance. Signed and sealed by the parties. Witnesses: John Henry Clark and Charles Narton.
