Grant of land: Stratford-upon-Avon and Shottery

Description

Grant dated at Stretford, Friday in Easter week, 24 Henry VI [1446], from Richard Felde of Kynges Norton, co. Worc., to Thomas Wonour alias Balshale of Stretford upon Avene of a burgage and croft in Stretford in Grenehulstrete between the tenement of Alice Brown and the common field of Busshoppeston [Bishopton], extending in length from the aforesaid street to Duns, together with five acres of land in the fields of Shotryth [Shottery], all of which the said Richard Felde and John Ulbarough had of the grant of John Barbour junior, of Ichyngton Bishops [Bishops Itchington]. Witnesses: John Harrapp and William Staffordshire, under-bailiffs of Stretford, Thomas Mayell, Richard Compotun, Thomas Cokkes and others.
