Lease: Wood Street, Stratford-upon-Avon


Lease by Sarah Nicholas (formerly Sarah Court) of Stratford-upon-Avon, widow of Thomas Nicholas late of Stratford-upon-Avon, tailor, deceased, to John Court of New Woodstock, co. Oxford, cabinet-maker, reciting the Will of John Court of Stratford-upon-Avon, yeoman, deceased, dated 8 June 1759 by which he devised a tenement in Wood Street to Ann Court his wife for life, and upon her decease to his daughter Sarah Court for life and in case she should die without issue to his two sons William and John Court and reciting that the said Ann Court is since dead whereby the tenement is become legally vested in the said Sarah Nichols for term of her life and now conveys her interest in the same for the sum of £20 to the said John Court, for the term of her life. Witnesses: Thomas Lampitt and Thomas Smith.
