Description

Lease from John Peel D D, Dean of the Cathedral Church of Worcester and the Chapter of the same church to Ann Hemmings, widow and executrix of William Hemmings of Shipston-upon-Stour, co. Worcester, grocer deceased, surviving Trustee and Executor of Thomas Salmon of the same place, wheelwright, deceased, of four tenements or cottages on the East side of New Street, Shipston-upon-Stour in the occupation of Ann Hemmings, Martin Gardner, - Mountford and Henry Bradley. To hold from 25 November 1856 for forty years for the annual rent of five shillings and rendering customary suit and service to the Manor of Shipston. Clauses concerning repair and maintenance, the said Ann to set up the arms of the Cathedral Church on the front or before part of the said cottages. Consideration: £39 18s. Signed: John Peel, Dean.
