Assignment ofLease dated 22 February 1703/4 (Old style) [1704], from Samuel Cole of Alcester, victualler, to Joseph Webster of Knocking [Knockin], co. Salop., clerke, and John Brandis of Alcester, tallow chandler, of a messuage in Alcester in the occupation of the said Samuel Cole between a tenement of Fulk, Lord Brooke, in the occupation of John Parshouse and a tenement of Francis Bellers, formerly leased by Fulk, Lord Brooke, Baron Brooke of Beauchampes Court, to the said Samuel Cole for ninty nine years or during the life of the said Samuel Cole, Thomas Cole, son of John Cole of Cosell [Coleshill], tayler, and Samuel Cole of Blodwell, co. Salop., yeoman, for the sum of £18 paid by the said Samuel Cole of Blodwell, and for 20s. and a capon or 1s. at Easter. To hold to the said Joseph Webster and John Brandis so that the said Samuel Cole of Alcester may occupy it for the said rent during his life, and after his death so that the said Samuel Cole of Blodwell may occupy it on the same terms.
