Lease from Henry Dighton of Clifford Chambers, esq., William Combe of Old Stratford, esq., Richard Dighton, son and heir apparent of the said Henry Dighton, William Wattes, rector of Clifford, Robert Loggin of Clifford, William Cale, George Morris, Thomas Hobbins, Edward Browne, Thomas Martin, John Cale (son of the said William Cale), William Morris and George Morris (sons of the said George Morris) and William Martin (son of the said Thomas Martin) feoffees, to Richard Marshall of Stratford-upon-Avon, carpenter, of all that toft, messuage places, burnt ground and foundation whereupon two messuages, burgages or tenements heretofore stood and were burnt down, situate in Stratford-upon-Avon 'in the Midle Rowe' [Bridge Street], late in the tenure of John Noble and John Perkins, and containing by the street side sixteen yards and one foot in length, and in breadth at the upper end next the messuage of Richard Smyth twenty eight feet and twenty one feet in breadth at the lower end next the land of Michael Palmer; for forty-five years paying for the first three years a peppercorn rent at Michaelmas, and for the remaining forty-two years a rent of five shillings half yearly.
