Marriage Settlement: Broadway
Description
Settlement on the Marriage of Anthoney Stephens the younger of Broadway, yeoman, son of Anthony Stephens the elder of the same, yeoman, and Mary his wife, to Sarah Morris, daughter of John Morris the elder of Bengrove in the parish of Beckford, yeoman, being a conveyance by Lease and Release from Anthony Stephens the elder, Mary his wife, and Anthony Stephens the younger, to Edward Leight of Tewkesbury, maltster, and John Morris the younger of Bengrove, son and heir apparent of the said John Morris, for £200 paid by John Morris the elder, of a messuage in Broadway then in the tenure of Anthony Stephens the elder, called Hosires House, half an acre of meadow called the Moates adjoining a close called Ervens Close; also Ervens Close containing two acres, and one yard land in the common fields of Broadway, and a half moiety of another yard land in the upper end of Broadway with tithes and common of pasture; to hold the same to uses of the Marriage Settlement as therein specified.
