Grant from John Todyngton, chaplain, of Stratford-upon-Avon, to Sir William Lucy, knight, Lord of Charlecote and Master Ralph Lorote of Schoylle, John Spelage, Chaplain, and Ralph Saucer of Stratford, of a certain shop in Stratford in `le Heyestret' [High Street] between a messuage late of John Cookes and a messuage of Sybill Breohull. Witnesses: Walter Golde, capital bailiff of Stratford, John Brasyare and Ralph Glouer, sub-bailiffs, and Thomas Compton senior and William Westyngton. Dated at Stratford, Monday before the purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 16 Richard II [1393]. Circular seal of dark green wax - a deer reaching up to the leaves of a tree.
