Copy of the Settlement made previous to the Marriage of Alicia Fitzherbert of Leicester, spinster, and George Thomas Smith of Marton, surgeon, whereby the said Alicia with the privity and approbation of the said George, released to Charles Meredith of Leicester and Thomas Umbers of Wappenbury, gents. all her interest under the Will of her grandfather Thomas Fitzherbert, formerly Vice Admiral of the White of her Majesty's Fleet and then of Plymouth Dock, Devon, deceased, (Will proved 1794); all her interest under the Will of the Rev. William Fitzherbert, clerk, uncle of the said Thomas Fitzherbert, (Will dated 1796) of leasehold property in Foster's Lane and Saint Anne's Lane in the parish of St. John Zachary, London, together with other stock and securities; both of which interests the said Alicia inherited under the Will of her father Captain Jonas Fitzherbert (Fitzherbert Family); also the moiety of a legacy, stocks securities etc., to be held in trust by the said Charles Meredith and Thomas Umbers, for the said Alicia Fitzherbert, George Thomas Smith and their heirs and assigns as recited.
