Assignment of Premises: Ilmington

Description

Assignment from Decimus Slatter the younger of Lambcott [Lambcote Farm] in Eatington [Ettington], yeoman, with the consent of Thomas Newland of Ilmington, weaver, and at the nomination and appointment of Decimus Slatter the elder of Lamcott, yeoman, of the upper part of a messuage and lands in Ilmington to John Gardner of Pillerton, yeoman, in trust to attend the inheritance. The said Thomas Newland having agreed to convey the freehold of the said premises to the said Decimus Slatter the elder for £22. Signed and sealed by Thomas Newland and Decimus Slatter. 1 other seal. Witnesses: Thomas Sabin and Thomas Mander. Will of Thomas Minchin of Ilmington, made on 12 February 1723/4 (Old style) [1724] Bequests: to his wife, Mary all his goods and chattels. Appoints Decimus Slatter the elder of Southfield, Ilmington Executor charging him to make subsistance for his said wife and any goods and money held by the said Mary to be delivered to his kinsman and godson Thomas Grey of Lower Guyting [Lower Guiting] co. Gloucester. The mark and seal of Thomas Minchin. Witnesses: Mary Slatter, Martha Salmon and H. Swanne. Enclosed. [Newland]
