Grant from Francis Hickes of Shipston-upon-Stower, gent., and Anne Hickes of the same, widow and executrix of William Hickes, late of Shipston, gent., to Thomas Dighton of Charlecott, gent., and Francis Banbury of Shipston, yeoman, of 'two yard land and one quarterne of land arrable' etc., in Bishopton, 'the meadoweing and grasse' thereto belonging in Shotterie, Welcome and Hampton, heretofore the land of one Rogers and purchased by Henry Smith, late of Stratford-upon-Avon, gent., father of the said Anne Hickes, of Mr. Nicholas and John Lane and also a barn of five bays in Bishopton next to William Hornes, all the said premises being in the tenure of Robert Howes; to hold the same in trust to the use of the said Anne Hickes for life and then to the use of Henry Hickes, her second son and brother of the said Francis, for life, with remainder to the heirs of his body and in default to the said Francis Hickes, his heirs and assigns. Witnesses: Christopher Smithe, Francis Waring and John Marshel(?) With note of seisin, 17 September, witnessed by Charles Bentley, Richard Smithe, Robert Howes and Simon Cale. With counterpart.
