Lease for twenty-one years at an annual rent of 26s 8d., from George Browne of Clifford Chambers, yeoman, Charles Vyne of the same, tailor, John Hobbins of Stratford-upon-Avon, husbandman, Jerome Browne of Upper Ettington [Ettington], yeoman, William Cale the elder of Clifford Chambers, yeoman, and Jerome Cale of Marston Sicca [Long Marston], husbandman, the surviving feoffees, to John Cox, otherwise Beeseley, of Stratford-upon-Avon, carpenter, and Robert Cox, otherwise Beeseley, son of the said John, of a messuage or tenement in Dead Lane, alias Chappel Lane alias Walkers Streete, Stratford-upon-Avon, now or late in the tenure of the said John Cox, and lately used as two tenements, bounded on the West by land late of John Hall, gent., being formerly the land of the late dissolved Priory of Pinley Holt, and on the East by the land formerly belonging to the Abbey of Reading and now or late the land of Nicholas Ryland, gent. Witnesses: William Cale, Edward Owen and Thomas Krin.
