Deed Poll by Arthur Walker of Marlcliffe, yeoman,citing a grant by Francis Smyth of Wawenswotton, esquire, dated 11 May 39th Elizabeth (1597) granting to the said Arthur, the capital messuage of Marlecliffe, with its buildings,lands etc for 60 years, if he and his sons John and William so lng long live; which is hereby granted to John Walker. Signed and sealed by Arthur Walker. Seal a dolphin and star. T. Thos Kempson, E.Kempson, Wm Courte senior, and Wm Courte junior.
