Description

Marriage Articles between Thomas, Lord Leigh of Stoneleigh and Catherine Berkeley of Wyken, Coventry, one of the daughters of Rowland Berkeley, late of Cotheridge, Worcs. Trustees: William Craven of Wyken, esq., and Rowland Berkeley of Cotheridge esq., brother of the said Catherine. Settling the manor of Hamstall Ridware, Staffs., and estates there, the manor of Dunton in Dunton, Curdworth, Lea Marston and Moxall; estates at Leek Wootton als. Cross Grange, Preston Bagot to the use of Thomas Lord Leigh for life and then to trustees to pay his widow an annuity of £500 with remainders after her death to the heirs male of Thomas and Catherine successively and to raise marriage portions for their younger children.
