Description

Bargain and sale and feoffment from Segrave Gregorie of Stivichall, gent., to John Gregorie of Stivichall, gent., for 50 pounds, of all the lands and tenements, etc. in Stivechall, which Arthur Gregorie, esq., father of the said John, purchased of Henry lord Berkeley, Mowbray, Segrave and Bruce, on 4 November, 22 Elizabeth [no. 827]; also the site called Hull Orchargde in Meriden, alias Allispath and two acres of arable land, one of which adjoins a lane and land late belonging to Ralph Brookes, abutting upon the vicarage lands of Meriden, and the other lies in the Oulde Warthinge, late in the tenure of Thomas Sheriff and now of John Hursall, gent.; also a free rent issuing out of a croft called Stonye Crofte late in the tenure of George ----, a croft called Litle Calvers in Canley between Locksmith Hill and the land called Cannox, late belonging to William Raves; also other property including the mount and manor at Brinklow with appurtenances, chief rents in Corley and Coventry (specified but only partly legible), land in Sowe purchased by Arthur Gregory on 12 August 1596 [no. 1324] and property conveyed by the said John to the said Segrave in May 1621 in Stivichall ------ and Allesley.
