Deed of feoffment from Robert [Spencer], Earl of Sunderland to John Rouse of Tachbrook Mallory, Warks., esquire, for £4223, of capital messuage and lands in Priors Hardwick `adjoining to the church yard', in the occupation of Benjamin Goodwin; closes in the same occupation; six yardlands in the fields of Priors Marston in the occupations of Goodwin and William Willes the younger; 80 acres in occupation Thomas Goodwin, formerly part of four closes called Behind Callens and Cork Bell Hook; 35 acres meadow in occupation Thomas Hinde, formerly part of same closes; 30 acres pasture and two meadows in occupation Richard Washbrook, formerly part of closes called Church Closes; farmhouse and 41 acres in occupation John Elnore; cottage with appurtenances in the occupation of Leonard Carter; windmill and windmill bank in the occupation of Benjamin Goodwin or William Willes. All which lands and tenements are parcels of the manor of Priors Hardwick and were formerly purchased by Robert, Lord Spencer, Sir Richard Samuell and Arthur Samuell esq. and afterwards were the property of Hon John Spencer, deceased, uncle to Robert, Earl of Sunderland.
