Articles of agreement indented between Thomas Milward of Besford, co. Worcs., gentleman, and Anne Milward of Welford, co. Gloucs., spinster, his sister, reciting that William Izod late of Welford, clerk, deceased and Anne his wife and John Milward of Welford, gentleman, by indentures dated 18 November 1675, in consideration of £100 demised to Anne Marshall of Loxley, co. Warwick, spinster, a moyety or halfe parte of two yard land in the towne, ffeilds and precincts of Welford for a term of 1000 years, and reciting that John Williamson, citizen and haberdasher of London and the said Anne Marshall his then wife, by indenture tripartite dated 23 May 1678, in consideration of £100 paid by Thomas Milward and Anne Milward, assigned to them the said premises for the residue of the term, £70 of the purchase money being Anne's and £30 Thomas's, and then witnessing that Thomas Milward covenanted with Anne Milward that she might at any time claim, demand and receive the said sum of £70 with interest due, and that he would not release the land until she had been paid, while Anne Milward entered into a similar covenant in respect of the £30 belonging to Thomas.
