Description

Copy draft covenant to produce title deeds from the Rev. H.C. Knight late of Oak Hill house, West Cowes, I.O.W. but then of Cadogan Place, Eaton Square co. Middx. clerk to Thomas Cattell of Birmingham corn dealer, reciting a conveyance dated 31 December 1856 from John Bullar and W.F. Beadon with the participation of Charles Couchman to the said Thomas Cattell for consideration therein mentioned of a capital messuage called Fordhall and the manor of Fordhall in Wootton Wawen, and another messuage called Little Fordhall in the same parish, and all lands and premises appertaining in Wootton Wawen and Tanworth, all then in the occupation of W Tarleton and Maria Tarleton and known as Fordhall farm and containing 168 acres 2 roods 19 perches, and also a piece of land at Earlswood in Tanworth, and that the title deeds mentioned in the annexed schedule referred not only to the above but also to other hereditaments of greater value then conveyed to or intended to be held in trust for the said H.C. Knight. As the said title deeds would be held by the latter, he agreed to their production when required. Schedule of title deeds. Subscribed in red ink as approved on behalf of the Rev. H.C.
