Lease: Church Street, Stratford-upon-Avon


Lease dated 4 March 1695/6 (Old style) [1696] from the Mayor, Aldermen and Burgesses of Stratford-upon-Avon, to Thomas Smith of Stratford, tailor, of a messuage in Stratford in the Church Street, between the tenements of Richard Morrell and Henry Earle on the North and South, the close of Nathaniel Mason, gent., on the East and the said Church Street on the West, for 41 years for a fine of £12 and a yearly rent of 20s. 4d. and 'one couple of fatt capons' to the Mayor on 1 January. Witnesses: Thomas Cale, Thomas Mills and Thomas Woolmer.
