Lease: Clopton, Ingon, Rhyn Clifford and Bridgetown

Description

Demise for a year dated 3 January 1697/8 (Old style) [1698] by Sir John Clopton of Clopton, Knt., to Hugh Clopton, esq., his second son, of three closes in Clopton, called Jakemans grounds, containing 28 acres; 3 closes, two called Edkins Leasows and the other Furzen Hill, containing 50 acres; the part of Grove Leasowe without Clopton Park containing 26 acres; Smart's Close of 9 acres and Windmill Ground of 21 acres; closes in Ingen called Hogg Leasowes, Hogg Leasow meadow, Pool Leasow, Pool Leasow meadow and Ram Close containing 130 acres; 8 closes in Ryen Clifford and Bridgetowne called the Sally Closes; and all other his lands, etc., in Clopton, Ingen, Ryen Clifford and Bridgetowne held by him in fee simple.
