Quitclaim from Geoffrey Profete of Hynton and William James [Jacobus] of Clifford Chambers to John Cokkes of Ruyene Clifford of all their right in one whole chamber with appurtenances in [High Street] in Stratford-upon-Avon situate between the tenement of Walter Brehull and the tenement of Walter Lodere; which chamber they had by the gift and feoffment of William Reeve [prepositus] of Clifford Chambers; to hold to the said John Cokkes and his heirs for ever of the chief Lord of that fee by services due. Dated at Clifford Ruyene, Thursday in the feast of St. Barnabas, 23 Edward III [1349]. Two broken seals of red wax: (i) a falcon pouncing on a rabbit, motto illegible (ii) the Virgin and Child, motto: Av[e Maria Deo] Gracia.
