Lease dated 1 June 1673, from Henry Dighton of Clifford Chambers, esq., Richard Dighton, son and heir of the said Henry, William Watts, clerk, William Cale, George Morris, Thomas Hobbins, Henry Tommes, Edward Browne, Thomas Martin, yeoman, William Morris, George Morris the younger and John Cale, son of the said William Cale (feoffees of the messuage hereinfafter mentioned, amongst other lands belonging to Clifford Chambers) to William Myles of Stratford-upon-Avon, shoemaker, of a messuage, etc. in Swine Street [Ely Street] in the occupation of William Myles between a tenement of Humfrey Hood and a tenement of Richard Durey, consisting in length, from the street to Simon Smart's garden, about 25 1/2 yards and in breadth 5 1/2 yards; for 42 years paying annually during the first four years of the term 6s 8d and during the rest of the term 13s. 4d. Witnesses: Edward Owen, Henry Cale, Thomas Joyner and Christopher Hyornes. Endorsed with a memorandum, dated 17 November 1676, whereby William Nyles assigned his term of years to Alice Parr of Stratford-upon-Avon, widow, for £10. Witnesses: William Challoner and Thomas Woolmer.
