Bargain and Sale and feoffment dated 23 January 1660/1 (Old style) [1661], from Joane Viall of Coventry, widow, daughter and heir of Richard Hurt of Coventry, Whittawer, deceased, and Richard Viall of the same place, glover, son and heir of the said Joane, to John Viall the younger of Coventry, glover, son of the said Joane, of a messuage and garden in or neare the west side of St. Johns Bridges [St. John Street] in Coventry lately in the occupation of the said Joan and John Viall between a tenement in the tenure of Thomas Cooke and Sherborne Brooke [Sherbourne Brook]. The said grantors appointing John Bootes of Coventry, cordwayner, and Edward Willes of the same, gent. Attorneys to deliver Seisin. Consideration: £39. Signed. Two tags for seals.
