Description

Lease and Release, the Release being a Conveyance from Katherine Butterice of Coventry, widow, formerly Ley, and afterwards wife of Robert Woodward of Warwick, gent., deceased, and Robert Ward of Barford esq., eldest son and heir of Mary Ward, deceased, daughter of the said Katherine and Robert Woodward, to Thomas Strickland of Cursitors Street, Chancery Lane, London, gent., of a messuage with lands in the common fields of Oxhill, formerly the inheritance of George Underhill and in the occupation of Richard Marshall and Richard Walker but now in tenure of George Houghton. The said Thomas Strickland to be a tenant to the praecipe of Edward Man of Kenelworth [Kenilworth] gent., for a recovery to be levied to secure the said lands to the said Katherine for her life and after her death to John Webb of Sherborne, gent., and William Charnley of Newbold Pacey, gent., in trust for the said Robert Ward and his heirs but in default for Rowley Ward and Lucy Ward brother and sister of the said Robert Ward, with reversion to the rightful heirs of the said Robert.
