Description

Grant by Alice Trout (reciting that she had of the grant of Thomas de Wotton of Littlealne, William le Ward of Wilmecote and John Todyngton, chaplains, certain lands and tenements in Shotrith which they had of the grant of Thomas Mollyng of Stratford and which they granted to one Agnes le Ward of Wilmecote for the term of her life so that after the decease of the said Agnes the premises should remain to Joan Trout of Stratford upon Auene deceased and the said Alice, John and Adamar, children of the said Joan, likewise deceased, for the term of their life) to John Webbe of Stratford-upon-Avon Master of the Guild of the Holy Cross and his successors, Masters of the said Guild, of her estate as surviving life tenant in the above lands etc. and confirming the grant to the said Guild by the said Thomas de Wotton and the others. Witnesses: William Bysshopusden, Knt., Sir Thomas Burdet, Knt., William Lucy, esq., Thomas Harwell, esq., John Clopton, gent., John Sclatter of Stratford, Thomas Leke of the same, etc. Dated, Stratford, Friday of the Feast of SS.
