Copy of the will of Lady Alicia Dudley, of St Giles in the fields To be buried in the chancel at Stoneleigh, and her body to be wrapped in lead. The executors to buy a black velvet hearse cloth, black gowns and hankerchiefs of cloth for as many old women as my years of age, and a mourning suit and cloak for as many servants as attend the funeral, Legacies to the poor of Stoneleigh, Foxley, Blaxley, Hatchill and Lichborough, as doles. To nephew Thomas lord Leigh £50, for a ring, to his wife, the like, Godson Thomas Leigh £100, Mrs Alicia Leigh, Charles Leigh's daughter, £100, writing women and servants , cloth and divers legacies. A parsonage called the Whitehouse for the parson of St Glies; £400 for the poor there, £200 for poor boys there, Then follows the teens of a indenture dated 4 July 1655. (see no.DR 18/2/22) ; the six parishes benefiting to be Stoneleigh, Killingworth, Asher, Wootton, Monkske by, Mancester, in the county of Warwick, wherein the clergy are to preach sermons.
