Description

Contemporary copy of grant by Henry VIII to Andrew Flammocke, Kenilworth, gent., and Elizabeth his wife of the Manor and Grange of Leek Wootton, alias Cross Grange with its rights, members and appurtenances, including fisheries, late belonging to the now dissolved Priory of Kenilworth. To hold in fee farm together with the tithes of corn and grain for Leek Wootton, Hill Wootton and Woodcote and the advowson of Leek Wootton. To hold for 43 years, at the yearly rent of one red rose on the Feast of St. John the Baptist during the life of the said Andrew, but if he die within the said term, then at a rent of £16.15s.1d payable by his heirs to the Court of Augmentations.
