Description

Feoffment by Thomas Godwyn, of Stratford upon Avon, blacksmith, to William Rawson of the same, `mylner', and Richard Tayler, al. Walker, of the same `walker' [sc. fuller] of the tenement in Bridge Street, (as ER2/19) between the tenement of the heirs of [Francis] Clayton on the west, and a tenement in the tenure of Thomas Barber on the east, and extending in length from the street to land of John Tayler on the south; to hold the same in settlement for a jointure to Katherine, his wife, daughter of Thomas and Isabella Wootton, with remainder to their heirs in tail. With power of attorney to Thomas Trussell, gent., to give seisin. Counterpart, signed, with seals. Witnesses: Thomas Trussell the writer, Thomas Godweyn, senior. Endorsed: Old Red Lion Inn
