Description

Lease from Thomas Ferrers of Tamworth' senior, esq., to John Brystowe of Coventre, draper, of a water-mill next Coventr' called Allerforth' mylne with its pools, underwoods etc., reaching in length from Allerforth' to a water-mill called Styffordmylne and in width from the road, leading from Coventr' to London', to Pynley Park; to hold of the said Thomas from the feast of St. Michael next ensuing for 30 years paying annually 20 shillings and 20 pence (2 terms); and the said John agrees to undertake repairs at his own expense. Witnesses: Edward Brogreve, mayor of Coventr', John Freman' and John Stafford', bailiffs of the same city and others. Dated the last day of July, 27 Henry VI. Seal on tag: circular, red, defaced.
