Fladbury deed

Description

Letters patent being a licence to Eleanor, widow of John Throkmerton late one of the chamberlains of the royal exchequer, and Thomas, son of the said John, to found a chantry in Fladbury parish church, to be called the Throckmorton chantry, with a chaplain for the same to say mass each day at the altar of St. Mary for the good estate of the king and Margaret his wife, and for the souls of his father, Katherine his mother, John Throkmerton, Thomas his father and Agnes his mother, the said chantry to have lands not held in chief to the annual value of £10. Great seal - slightly chipped.
