Description

Gift with warranty from William Lucas of Bedworthe, yeoman, to Arthur Gregori, esq., of an annual rent of 12 pence issuing out of a certain croft in Allyspathe called Stony Crofte now in the tenure of George Acres and late of Robert Bryncknell, yeoman, which pertains to the fee of Arthur Gregori, lord of Stychehale and Kyngeshull; which croft lately pertained to a tenement called Cleybrockes in part now held of the said Arthur at an annual rent of 9 pence, and suit of court, once paid by the grantor's ancestors and now by Thomas Holbeche, gent. for a parcel of Cleybrockes purchased from William Lucas, the grantor's grand-father. The remainder of Cleybrockes, namely two fields, is now held of the said Arthur by George Acres at an annual rent of 18 pence by reason of an alienation made by John Heringe to Hugh Brincknell, just as (sicut) lately the heirs of the Lady Segrave and now the earl of Darby hold their tenements in Allespathe for half a knight's fee of the said Arthur.
