Description

Right hand indenture of a fine, levied at Westminster in Michaelmas Term, 15 Elizabeth, between Thomas Cokayne, knight, Edward Holte and Humphrey Ferrars, esquires, plaintiffs, and Thomas Gregory, esq., and Arthur Gregory, his son and heir apparent, deforciants, of the manors of Kyngeshull' and Styvechale, alias Styvynghale, alias Stychehalle, and twenty messuages, three water-mills, three dovecots, five hundred acres of land, two hundred acres of meadow, three hundred acres of pasture, sixty acres of wood, two hundred acres of heath and 3 shillings rent in Kyngeshull', Styvechale, Fynham, Flechamsted and Stoneley and view of frankpledge in Styvechale. The said Thomas and Arthur recognized the said property to be the right of the said Thomas, Edward and Humphrey as by their gift; and for this they give to the said Thomas and Arthur 220 pounds.
