It appears from this document that "Thomas Quyney [Quiney] holdeth as aforesayd on tenement contaynyng on the strett sid 16 foott and d., in length inwardes, 60 feete, the bredhe backwardes 16 foott and d" (dimidium). [Note by Halliwell-Phillipps: 'At this period, Thomas Quiney did not inhabit the Cage, and the lease quoted at p. 125 refers to these premises. The Cage, afterwards inhabited by Quiney, was at the corner of Bridge Street, on the spot now occupied as a draper's shop by Messrs. Chattaway and Samman. The dimensions remain the same, namely, 32½ feet in High Street, and 19 feet in Bridge Street']
