Description
[William Henry] Leigh, Palace Hotel, Buxton to [George] Jones. Discusses renovation and repairs to Hunningham church. Says "I do not wish to be too hard on the architects of the present day, but I am bound to say that I do not much care for their opinions ..... I cannot put much confidence in an architect who could recommend white Bath stone..... [in an] old village church such as Hunningham".
